We went as a group of 8 ladies on a hen do and had a fantastic time. A lovely welcome from the owners and everything you can imagine provided in the Retreat. We also booked a Laserclay session which was well facilitated and a lot of fun despite the rain.
Even in wet, cloudy weather in late September, this had a very special feel to it - I can't imagine how amazing it would be in the summer, especially being able to sit out with these glorious views.
One caveat - the shepherds hut bed is cosy and only suitable for very close and short friends! And pay attention to the driving directions!
Highly recommend for a group holiday.
We were blown away by the facilities when we finally arrived at our little glamping spot. Was pretty hard to find though and we had completely over packed as the booking website didn't make it clear just how well equipt the kitchen area was!! We would have had more space for wine if we'd known! Haha! We had a few issues with the electricity and water during our stay but the owners were very quick to help and resolved our problems as soon as they could. We loved how much thought had been put into the place!! Even hot water bottles which we definitely needed!! Literally everything you could want is there!! All you need to pack is your clothes and toiletries!! The only let down was random people coming in the morning to use the loos. We thought they were private to us but people kept coming through our 'private' area and using our 'private' facilities. When we discussed this with the owner she made no apology and shrugged it off. Hmmm. But otherwise we had a fantastic time and the views are to die for! Would recommend.
