Having stayed at The Hyde, on the same estate three years ago in June 2013, we knew we were in for a treat at "The Fweeff "as our two year old grandson kept calling it. We were not disappointed. It was the addition of an indoor pool that made us choose it for a February weekend and it was perfect.
We were celebrating Poppa-Boo's 70th birthday. Nine adults and 8 children ranging from 16 to 2 years of age. There was something for everyone from the perfectly equipped playroom for the little ones to the pool- room, wifi &, games for the teenagers. Our children catered for us in the perfectly designed kitchen with its AGA, subsidiary ovens and two dishwashers, apart from Saturday evening when James and Monica created a perfect meal and looked after our every need. Wonderful!
We had the bonus of good weather and enjoyed a long walk on the Saturday, admiring glorious views and stunning banks of snowdrops. A friendly neighbour even gave the little ones a lift back up the last leg of our muddy walk back in his trailer. This was a great hit, coupled with the fact that the local hunt passed through just above us. A great sight!
We could not fault the house itself with Peta's perfect taste and thoughtfulness of design. We wanted for nothing and have already recommended it to family and friends. We will be back!
Absolutely fantastic weekend our family had at the Freeth to celebrate my special birthday. Facilities and comfort and furnishings are all top rate. Attention to detail very good. Very helpful, polite staff who go welll beyond normal expectations to make your stay as good as possible. Catering provided was very good, as was the laser tag arranged in the garden. Could not fault anything. A fabulous time was had by all. Many thanks to everyone involved. Another bug bonus dogs are welcome
The Freeth is simply superb. We had a wonderful stay there over Christmas and enjoyed every moment. The house is beautiful, each room is decorated with a real eye for design. The house was warm and cosy which was ideal for Christmas. We spent our days walking around the estate, climbing trees, getting muddy and eating lots. The swimming pool and games rooms were brilliant for adults and kids. Meal times were very easy around the huge dining table. The kitchen is really well equipped and we cooked large family meals (there were 17 of us and a baby). There are lovely touches for families, such a the playroom which is stocked with fantastic toys and books and our children happily played in for hours. The Freeth is really an exceptional property and we feel very lucky to have found it.
We had a fabulous family holiday at The Freeth. Peta has done a remarkable job of making this house feel like home ftom the moment you arrive. Beautiful interior decor and outside spaces makes this a special place to spend time with loved ones. We will definitely be returning.
