“Beautiful setting”
Reviewed 8 June 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Celebrated our grandfather's 90th birthday here. Tour ages ranged from 15 months to 90 years. It was a perfect setting for all ages. We had great weather which helped. It was a dream when we arrived. Long drive to be greated by a beautiful house, converted barn and rickety quaint ping-pong house! We a ordered tesco order and they arrived with no issues and our housekeeping staff were amazing by putting it away for us.
We were greated with a homemade chocolate cake and a presitine kitchen. We investigated the tennis court, the tree house and stumbled on the Wendy House. There were little bikes to play on who h the children loved as the grounds were so big they could go off and enjoy. We stayed in the little four bed cottage. It was lovely. It was perfect for us and the other family staying with us. The play room was adorable.
The rest of the family stayed in the large farm house. It was epic. Every detail was amazing and immaculate. The smell of the roses were beautiful every morning and evening as you walked in and out of the houses. We were lucky enough to have the train ride twice in our week. That was brilliant again for all ages it took about an hour to go round the whole track. the drivers and other station men were helpful and spoke to the children about the engine. We felt very lucky having our own steam train. Around the grounds
We were very central for visits out and about and not far away if we needed extra milk or just some time out. We didn't manage to get to the lakes to some fun but they looked lovely
We'd love to stay again and we packed so much in to one little week. We would recommend to anyone xx thank you

“Beautifully appointed house”
Reviewed 10 February 2017 for a stay in January 2017

I booked The Hyde for my 50th birthday celebrations at the end of January. The house sleeps 10, we also had the adjoining cottage so were 20 people in total. Pre-arrival communication was clear and informative detailing the local area, things to do and places to eat. The house itself is not only beautifully decorated but extremely well appointed with more than enough crockery, cutlery and glasses and two dishwashers (necessary for this many people). The utility/drying room proved invaluable when returning from wet and muddy walks and the log burners in the sitting rooms kept us cosy. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We had the most fantastic three day stay and were all very sad to leave. Would not hesitate to recommend.

“Fabulous country house”
Reviewed 18 January 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We have just returned from a fabulous long weekend at the Hyde. It is an ideal venue for a big family gathering. We were 20 adults plus a smattering of babies! The attention to detail is second to none. All the equipment is in excellent condition and the whole place is spotless. We had a great time. 100% recommended!

“Wonderful, beautiful, warm and comfortable.”
Reviewed 11 December 2016 for a stay in December 2016

Beautiful home, warm even when it's cold out. Fabulous, even for young families. "The best house for hide and seek" according to my 4yr old.
Lovely surroundings and countryside.
Large practical kitchen, boot room, utility room. All the bedrooms are lovely. Comfortable lounge, conservatory and TV room. Tree house, Wendy house, mini maze... What more could you ask for?!

“Incredible house. If you are thinking of staying, do!!”
Reviewed 5 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We visited The Hyde to celebrate a 50th birthday with friends and family, and it was the most amazing weekend we could have wished for.
The pictures of the house do not do it justice, it is beyond beautiful and has been designed with impeccable taste. The place is also spotless!
The Hyde is a huge building, but it was lovely and warm throughout the house and cottage.
It was well equipment and catered easily for our group of 20.
The chef came in on Sunday and cooked us a beautiful roast, which we ate around the huge dining table. It was the perfect way to end a perfect weekend.
I would recommend The Hyde if you are thinking of somewhere to stay with a large group of people. The only downside to our stay was that it was cold and we couldn't use the garden at all, but we hope to visit again in the summer to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
Also a big thank you to Peta who was super helpful when booking The Hyde, and also how welcoming and personal you made our stay. It was greatly appreciated!
