Spent a week at Jackdaw cotttage in the beautiful Cotswolds. Was a great space to call home for the week as we explored the area. Would definitively recommend.

“Lovely, Charming English Cottage in Cotswold”

Lovely, charming English Cottage on a quiet lane. Exactly as the photos show. Beds were wonderful and rooms were cozy. Enough living space for everyone to relax...whether it is the corner room with love seat..which my eldest daughter hid away in to read or the family room with tv and wood stove (with logs provided). Highly recommend this property. Location is ideal for travelling around. Blockley local village shop has all your needs. Hosts have done a fabulous job. Any questions were immediately answered. They had information pamphlets on local sites to see as well as the instructions for any appliances you needed to use. My Canadian family of 4 enjoyed our stay here saying it was the best for accommodations on our trip. The home had that English country feeling we were looking for..like the home in the movie "The Holiday"

Blockley local pub is just down the road...great for a pint!
Moreton on the water...Mermaid's Fish bar..large portions of take away fish and chips at great price. Also Italian restaurant called "Ask" there has great food.

Wish we could have stayed longer...maybe next time!

“Perfect Cotswold cottage”

A perfect and pretty Cotswold cottage for an avid reader or viewer of Cotswold mysteries. It was old, quaint and had everything you could need. The owners provided maps and a selection of walks for the local area. It welcomed guests with wine and biscuits on the table.( and provided tea, coffee and sugar in cupboard) The beds were excellent and fitted with good quality linen. Spare blankets were available in cupboards. All the appliances you could need were provided, including dishwasher, washing machine, heaters,( even logs for the wood heater) and excellent instructions on how to use the TV and heaters. It even had fire safety equipment and a first aid kit! The kitchen was superbly stocked with plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and cleaning materials. I would love to have stayed much longer.

“Beautiful Cottage”

We had a great time at Jackdaw cottage. In a nice, quiet position in the village. Only a short walk to the shop/cafe (which are both excellent) and an even shorter walk to the Western Arms pub (also very good). Nice sized rooms all round and nice kitchen. We also enjoyed eating outside in the front garden in the evening. Will hopefully visit again and also recommend.

“Loved our stay in the Cotswolds”
Reviewed 21 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We loved our stay in this cosy cottage in Blockley - great location in the town, access to wonderful hiking trails right out the front door, no tour buses in the town so more quiet than some other Cotswolds villages, and easy to get to several other lovely villages like Stow, Chipping Camden and the Slaughters. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The double bedroom is a bit tight for space, as is the parking spot for larger SUVs, and the garden space is in front of the cottage - the wood fire, charcoal BBQ, cosy kitchen and very comfortable living room were great and more than made up for anything else.
