Beautiful cottage which is comfortable, well equipped with a high quality kitchen and bathroom. Great central location in a lovely village for exploring the Cotswolds. Log fire...so cosy with a plentiful supply of logs. The only downside is that it needs a little more storage in bedrooms but overall highly recommended.
We stayed at the Plum Tree Cottage with our 21 months old son and another couple of friends. We all enjoyed so much, the warm welcome from Carol with her lemon cake and wine, the cottage is beautiful, very tidy and amazingly well equipped which allowed us to make nice breakfasts and dinners. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable, the beds and bed linen of very nice quality which allowed us such nice rests. Blockley is a lovely place, so quiet and peaceful and great for a weekend escape to rest. The location is great with very easy and quick reach of some of the most beautiful villages in the Costwold. I highly recommend this cottage for a nice Costwold visit. A pity that the weather didn't help and we could not enjoy a coffee in the garden.
Blockley is a lovely, quiet village if you want to get away from it all. The cottage was beautifully presented and was like a home-from-home. The children loved the garden and the outside dining area & bbq are great if you have the weather.
My husband, mother in law, young daughter and I just spent a lovely week at Plum Tree Cottage. We had also rented another cottage in town for our extended family and were so pleased that we got to stay in Plum Tree! The beds are wonderful and the cottage is well equipped with everything you could want for your holiday! We had no issues at all with the walkway behind the house and I found the garden to be a great play area for our daughter, set well apart from the road. Also there is a playground a short walk away for the kiddos. I would highly recommend the cottage as a homebase for exploring the Cotswolds. We look forward to returning!
Whilst not the chocolate box style cottage this is an excellent venue for touring round the area. Steep steps up to door, end cottage which has been renovated to high standard and was very clean within. Quality bedding and decor throughout . Our party of six had big tall men, so perhaps our choice was not the best cottage as the photo's gave impression it was more spacious within. We neverthe less enjoyed our stay. Lounge seating was not the best comfort and as we were six there was no choice either. The village church and shop are well attended and the hub as there is no actual centre to village. Excellent walks in all directions linking other communities over English countryside, which has wonderful views.
