I had researched several lunch/afternoon tea venues in Dunmow for a friend and I to meet up. As this establishment had such good reviews on here I decided to book. What a find!! For £12.50 you get a superb afternoon tea, delicious sandwiches, beautifully meaty homemade sausage rolls, then miniature tiffins, moreish chocolate eclairs, lemon drizzle cake and gorgeous scones. The drinks were well made too. Everywhere inside is spotlessly clean, the staff are very helpful and welcoming and I will certainly be visiting this gem more often. The array of sweet and savoury delights that can be taken away, the lunches we saw being consumed whilst we were there, all were delicious looking and beautifully presented. Nothing seems too much trouble. Dunmow has a lot of Cafes and restaurants but I would wholeheartedly recommend Cafe Coustance and fully endorse the five star rating other Trip advisor reviewers have left. Thank you very much for such a lovely experience!

I ordered a chocolate cake for my daughter's 18th birthday. It was absolutely delicious and she was thrilled with it. Thank you!

Small clean cafe with first rate pasties, tartes and light options hand cooked with skill. Friendly service also.

Just off the main street this cafe serves homemade pastries and cakes. A delicious and hearty potion of soup was simple but filling. Friendly atmosphere for a drink or light meal i would stop by again. It is not a 'cheap caf' but reasonable for the quality if the food. Thanks
