We visited Hyde Hall Gardens today with our 3 year old and 7 year old. Entrance was a little pricey for what was actually there and as it was a cold day so didn’t really want to spend too long there. The children enjoyed the tractors they could sit on and small play area but really this area could have been bigger as on a busy day I can see it could become quite crowded. Lots of open areas for the children to run around and to have picnics on a nicer day. There was a trail for the children to follow which was good to keep them walking but when we have done these at other similar places they’ve been more interactive which the children love even more. The scarecrows were fun and great for photo opportunities. There was an arts and crafts tent but it was an extra £2 per child which considering the entrance we were not prepared to pay. We did have a very enjoyable lunch in the cafe.

First visit for us, on a sunny cold-ish February day.
Nice setting for a winter walk and a surprising amount of structure and planting to see for the time of year,
We really loved the dogwood colours and the way they had been all tied together to make winter sculptures
Café was popular and served a good range of food at reasonable prices.
Certainly looks worth seeing at intervals throughout the year

We enjoy our annual membership and visit throughout the year. Great coffee shop serving cakes and light lunches after an hour or so walking around the gardens.

A lovely garden with good facilities and plenty to see. There is transport
up the hill if you have trouble walking. The main garden is at the top but
there are toilet and eating facilities.
The roses are fabulous in the summer.
Lovely views and plenty of places to sit with your own picnic if you prefer.

Popped into the restaurant and shop today. Very nice coffee with lots of cakes on offer. Their cheese scones are delicious. The shop has good selection of gift items which are of good quality but very expensive.
