Went as group of 5 - refurb has been done to a good standard although strong s” stale “ smell when you enter the building . Had to wait a while for someone to take drinks order once sat. Food was a mixed bag - the ceasar salad was far too salty and the dressing very thin and also missing croutons . Fish and chips nice but calamari was not crisp. Won’t rush back .

Hi GJPMent,

We appreciate you taking time to leave feedback after your recent visit to The Greyhound and I would like to apologise if your visit was not up to our usual standards. I will raise any issues faced with the team and ensure these do not happen again. Unfortunately our ceasar salad does not come with croutons but I will raise your other concerns with the kitchen. We hope you will come back and give us another chance to restore your faith in us.

Kind Regards
Andy

There were 20 adults and 3 children in our family party.
We were greeted by very friendly staff and we had relaxed drinks first in the little bar area.
We were able to go the table when we were ready after which we were looked after by a very good designated waitress. The children, were wisely served first.
Our meals were delicious and beautifully served..
Thank you Simon and your team for helping to make our special day even more special.
You have made many happy memories for all our family.

My family’s favourite place to meet travelling from Norfolk, Kent & Surrey always a great welcome and very accommodating considering our number was 16. Our meeting was an opportunity to meet the family’s latest addition a baby girl and she so we’ll behaved. We were served by Irene who was slightly bemused but handled our confusing orders well. The food was very good and served promptly thank you to the management for another great visit and look forward to seeing you again at the end of April.

We visited as a large group of say 22 colleagues during a team day away from the office. We’d all chosen our lunches in advance from the ‘2 courses for £11.99’ menu and there was just about enough choice, some more pictures of the food on the website would have helped. We arrived later than we booked and were hungry when we got there and for those who had ordered starters they came quite quickly. The pub is decorated really nicely and makes for a pleasant relaxing environment. There was a bit of a wait for the mains and as we were already running late we were conscious of being late to our next booking too but soon enough 22 freshly cooked main courses arrived practically simultaneously, no mean feat! Everyone enjoyed their meals, the ham egg & chips was lovely, pizza looked fab, steak sandwich was a popular choice but all said the horseradish was overpowering. F the puddings the apple pie certainly looked the best choice, or the Creme brûlée. I had a mini pecan treacle tart with a cappuccino- the pie itself was a flavourless waste of calories but just my poor choice, the coffee was a winner, lovely. All hot drinks were beautifully presented. The staff were really excellent,2 ladies and 2 young guys- nothing was too much trouble. I’d definitely recommend. A nearby table were served a huge sharing platter, it looking incredible. Yum.
