Description: Jono and the team look forward to welcoming you to The Flying Shuttle! A Rotisserie Restaurant and Bar for Haverhill, situated at the entrance to the new Haverhill Research Park on the A1307 heading out of town towards Cambridge. The name for the restaurant came about due to the town's links with the industrialisation of weaving. From the 16th Century, weaving was an important local industry to Haverhill and it was John Kay in 1733 who invented the Flying Shuttle, a significant improvement to the looms, enabling weavers to weave faster and create wider fabrics. The invention revolutionised the industry allowing for automatic machine looms to be produced. A stunning design combined with a warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal place for dining out with friends and family. Please come and try our delicious Rotisserie chicken cooked in the customer area fresh on the spit. Don't worry if you don't fancy chicken, the menu is extensive and the specials change regularly so we are confident that we have something for everyone! Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Suffolk countryside, it will be the place to visit during the Summer months offering full table service in the outdoor patio area. The place looked lovely hence why we chose it for a birthday meal however were left disappointed with the meal. The beef on the Sunday roast was VERY over cooked and the corn on the cob came out cold so we had to send it back. It felt at times that the staff were fed up of us being there, of the kids running around (kids being kids) and requesting more drinks/ sauces etc.
The kids loved the play area and I’m not faulting the speed of the service however I’m not sure we will be visiting again.

The vegan menu advertises vegan garlic bread but after you order it they tell you it isn’t vegan!! You then order a salad dish and then they come and tell you all they’ve got is 2 different lettuces!! I don’t call that a salad. We arrived at 12.45 and weren’t served until 2.30 pm. Overall it was a disappointing visit and we will not be returning

went to flying shuttle for an early evening meal, my wife and i both had scampi had to wait 10 minutes for drinks to arrive, when the meal came my mash was cold and the scampi was burnt to a frazzle, when i told the waitress all she could say was i am very sorry and just walked away,i ate what i could stomach and left the rest.when the manager or whoever he was ask if the meal was ok i told him the same and he just said sorry about that sir.
The staff made no attempt to make another meal or any offer of compensation,as a ex MD i thought the attitude stank, so much for staff training in PR
We will never be going back to this third world eatery and will be convincing all our friends to do likewise, the quicker this place is shut down the better for all, Even the four people at the next table were complaining and had to call the waitress over to sort a problem out.
If the CEO of Marstons wish to get in touch we me they are quite welcome to do so and i will gladly give them some guidance Public Relations

We arrived and it was fairly busy, seated quickly and had our drinks order taken immediately.
We ordered chicken sliders and a chicken curry from the new menu. Both meals were hot, plenty and tasty. Our waiter returned to check we were ok and took another drinks order. We didn’t feel rushed, we ordered desserts and asked for cream instead of ice cream which it was supposed to come with, this was not an issue at all.
We were thanked for coming and told to enjoy the rest of our day.
We left about 5.30 just as it was getting busy but the Manager still approached us to say goodbye.

Menu and restaurant looked fab but was really disappointed when our food arrived, was not overly busy but waited over half hour for our mains which we could tell had been sat for a while. Also the disabled and baby changing toilet was disgusting! Never seen anything like it ! Certainly not the place I would want to be changing my babies nappy.
