Booked online, encouraged as website said refundable right up until last minute in case you have to cancel.
Asked to enter promo code on payment page, so tried one, knocked a couple of £ off.
Now due to neighbour being dangerously ill we are cancelling our trip to keep an eye on them, with 3 weeks notice given.
!!Refused a refund!! because we used a promo code! Website didn't flash this up when we entered code or else we would not have used it!
Beware beware! Really disappointed, you would not expect YHA to be mercenary like this. Complaint sent.
I'm a minimum wage part time work with a disability, I can't afford to lose out like this. Misleading website has left me out of pocket.
Really bad treatment of customers.

We were staying in town with business, and for the price we paid I was incredibly impressed with the cleanliness of the room, the hospitality of the staff, and the portion sizes of the breakfasts! An absolute no-brainer if you are visiting the area and are on a budget. :-)

The hostel is clean, social spaces are large, the self catering kitchen is modern. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area of north norfolk. You can visit pubs in the town. There are also military collections at Thursford or Muckleburugh.

Thank you for your review following your recent stay. Great to hear you like the cleanliness and self catering kitchen - the Hostel has had some improvements over the last few months ( beds, carpets & curtains) and it is hope further improvements will be made over the coming months, so hope you'll return to see what we've been up to.

Just stayed one night , as always in YHA hostels a relaxed atmosphere. The location is in a quiet area . The town centre is about 600 metres away so well within walking distance. Sheringham itself has some good pubs , try The Lobster for nice fire and room. Good location for walking . The property it self is a two storey flat roofed building so nothing special to look at and rooms are small but if you want it for a base and to be with similarly minded people its a good choice.

We spent 2 nights here and had a great time. The facilities are very good, the place is really warm and cosy and the staff friendly and helpful. The hostel is 5 minutes walk from a large Tesco at the top of the high street and the town itself has some interesting shops to poke round. The buses along the coast are excellent and we really enjoyed walking along the coast.
The other people staying in the hostel were very friendly. We will definitely return. At £29 a night for a double room , who can fault it?
