“Excellent cottage”

Acorn Cottage is attached to the main house, but is completely private. The accommodation is very comfortable and everything you might need is provided. There were even eggs, milk, a fresh loaf of bread and a home-baked cake when I arrived. The kitchen is well stocked, there is a washing machine and all other things you would expect. The cottage is a ten minute walk from the train station, with easy access to the coast and Norwich, and there are two supermarkets within walking distance. The area is quiet and safe. There was a lot of information about the area provided and booking was very straightforward.

“A very good choice”

This location may not seem a holiday spot, but there are several reasons why this cottage is a great choice. The cottage itself is in a very pretty garden with idyllic outside space and is very comfortable, kept lovely, and is spacious for a one bedroom. There is everything you need and the owners next door are very friendly and helpful .
This location is a great base for travelling all around Norfolk and has better amenities as a town than the holiday spots. It's only about 10 miles to the Broads anyd the same to Cromer and the North Coast area. Although it's not a holiday town, there is a brilliant pool and leisure centre, a decent park for kids or dog walks and a couple of woods not far away, as well as several good supermarkets. We had a lovely week and would recommend it strongly.

“An attractive cottage, well located with everything we needed.”

Acorn Cottage is a spacious property, set in a beautiful, flower-filled garden and located a 5-minute walk from the centre of North Walsham, an attractive old country town with plenty of amenities and buildings of local interest. Despite being on a fairly main road, Acorn Cottage is set well back, so it was very peaceful. The property has generous facilities in the form of a large, light lounge/diner, very well equipped, kitchen, a good sized bedroom and easy to use, powerful shower in the wet room.
There is a vast range of interesting places to visit within a 20 mile radius and the sea is only 5 miles away. When we did not feel like driving, we used a very good local bus service to to enjoy a brilliant day out in Norwich.
We were well provided with all the advice and help we needed by Janet & Roger, the owners, & the welcome fruit cake fuelled our walks very enjoyably. We had a lovely, relaxing break, & would certainly recommend this property to anyone interested in exploring NE Norfolk.
