We were given a voucher for afternoon tea as a present and we were looking forward to visiting this highly-acclaimed restaurant.

We ate in the conservatory and even though it was a cold, wet day it was warm inside but the ambiance was not great - there are much more interesting rooms on the ground floor.

The afternoon tea itself was disappointing. The sandwiches were very small and uninteresting. The scones were dry. The cakes were a little better but again, very small pieces. A more varied selection would have been welcome.

Overall, this was not good value for money. On the plus side, the staff were very obliging.

Having been visiting Morston Hall at least twice a year for the last three years the food just gets better and every accolade that’s come it’s way is richly deserved.
To produce a seven course tasting menu which changes each night really is impressive which makes it really enjoyable during a longer stay.
Galton and Greg really compliment each other amazingly and all the kitchen and front of house staff know what is expected of them.
Truly some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and the whole experience is fantastic.

Fine dining but with a friendly and cosy atmosphere. The food, wine and service are all to a very high standard. I went with the recommendation of the wine of the month and was very pleasantly surprised. The menu is “only” a 7 course tasting menu but it is exceptional and unusual, tantalising your taste buds. If you appreciate fine dining you have to try Morston Hall. Expensive but worth it.

The chef patron, Galton Blackiston has a gem of a restaurant. If you are visiting Norfolk be sure to visit.
The menu is a set menu and changes daily and is very similar to a tasting menu, using locally sourced produce which is perfectly prepared and cooked.
Not to be missed.

Its been a long time since we went away for a grown up's evening, and it was worth the wait! My mother was celebrating her birthday and my father book the 4 us in for dinner on Saturday. My parents booked 2 nights and we booked 1 night. Our room was wonderful, spotless, had eveything one needed, a lovely big bathroom, sitting room and a lovely large bedroom with a comforatable bed :) My parents room which was not in the main buidling was beautiful, large and airy and very well done. They do a lot of travelling and were delighted, thier only regret was it has taken them so long to try Morston Hall! Our meal was superb, it was the best food we have had in a long time and we very much enjoyed the wine flight that went with it. Morston Hall gin wasnt bad either!!! The sevice was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very well informed on what they were serving us. Breakfast was also fab, perfect size portions and good coffee! Thank you Morston Hall for a lovely weekend, we will be back!
