This is quite simply the best villa holiday you could imagine. Gaby was the most incredible host who thought of everything. The fridge and cupboards were full of food and there was even a moussaka in the oven. She looked after us so well throughout the holiday and made us feel like part of the family. She even brought round a fantastic cake and champagne for my son's birthday. The villa itself and the pool are stunning with everything you could possibly want. It is beautifully decorated throughout and my sons were delighted to find musical instruments and a Playstation in the basement. The location is perfect, being walking distance from two towns, with lots of lovely restaurants and shops and everyone was so friendly. We were so sad to leave and will definitely be going back!
Sorry Delayed review. Travelled to Pandora Villas with my husband , two daughters and their partners in April. All the communication from Gabrielle before hand was so helpful. Gaby picked us up from airport which was a late flight. When we arrived at the stunning villa we were greeted with a beautiful Greek dish cooked in the oven. It was Easter time and the villa had been decorated for Easter with lots of sweets and chocolate. It was also decorated for my daughters 21st birthday, with cake and bubbly. There were so many thoughtful touches. We were overwhelmed by Gaby's welcome and friendliness and by the lovely villa. Gaby also took my daughter and husband to local villages to point out suggested places to go for my daughters birthday meal. On the last day her son took us back to the airport. We were so sad to leave. The local people were also lovely and friendly and we enjoyed some great food. Will definitely return. Have been luck to have been on quite a few holidays in my 50 + years including some great villas but this was the best. It was ours hosts wonderful hospitality and friendliness that made all of the difference. Thank you Gaby and sorry for late review, Hope to see you again x
Just returned from 2 weeks staying at Pandora Villa’s and it was everything we had hoped it would be! A few highlights:
Amazing in every way, perfectly kept and to say everything was catered for is an understatement. We arrived to a freshly cooked moussaka (which itself was amazing!), a fully stocked fridge, wine, fruit…. I could go on and on…. We were a little apprehensive about taking our 4 months old baby away for the 1st time but Gaby had even thought about him and we arrived to a baby monitor, high chair, travel cot, nappies, bottle sterilizer etc – we probably could have saved a suit case full of baby equipment! The rooms are perfectly kept, the kitchen has everything you need if cooking at home and even the BBQ had charcoal & firelighters, and honestly there wasn't a thing that hadn't been thought about.
The pool was a godsend as it was mid 40’s for the 1st week, the surrounding areas are maintained almost every day and are immaculate.
The closest village is the square in old Hersonnissos where they have the Greek dancing every Monday (you need to book a restaurant a couple of days in advance to get a table as you won’t on the night!) we ate at Sofas a couple of times – food was good, George the host was great but for us Zachos was head and shoulders above the others! The food was just amazing (try the Stifado!) and the owner just makes the place – he is so welcoming and really creates a warm, friendly & lively atmosphere! The fact they have an open kitchen says everything about this place.
Piskopiano is the opposite village – not really a lot going on here but if you carry on walking through you will reach Koutouloufari, lots of shops & restaurants, we ate at Atrium a few times which again was just the most beautiful place (sit at the back up the stairs in the garden) food was really good and the lady who owns it was just the most wonderful person.
Gaby & Mano are just wonderful people who do everything they can to make sure you have the best time and that you have everything you need, they really do care! Gaby met us on arrival and showed us around the Villa, made sure that we understood that if there was anything we needed to text her and was on hand whenever we had any questions / advice etc – Gaby arranged a car for us taking away all of the normal hassle, it was delivered and collected from the villa at short notice – I really cannot speak highly enough of them both.
I can’t recommend this villa highly enough, if we visit Crete again we will be back :)
Gabby and Mano are an amazing couple who run their business from the heart. We were met on arrival and there was a Mousaka in the oven. The villa was wonderful and every detail had been considered. The fridge and cupboards were full and there was a basket of fruit large enough to last more than a week. I cannot recommend these villas enough. The service was the best I have ever had anywhere in the world.
In total there are 6 of us staying in this villa.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning to be met by the owner Gabby.
We were escorted round the villa and made to feel very much at home.
No food or drink was needed to be obtained as Gabby had already stocked the fridge and the cupboards.
The rooms are spacious and all have air conditioning.
The pool is the perfect size and the sun beds perfect as was the weather.
The villa is situated smack in the middle of the main town that is a 20 min walk or a 5 min taxi drive.
The village is a 10 min walk and has all the shops and restaurants you need.
If you are going out for a meal in the village square on a Monday night, please ensure you book first as they have cabaret on this night and the square gets packed.
I would also suggest that before you eat at any of the restaurants you first check the reviews on TripAdvisor as there are a few that leave a lot to be desired.
Finally many thanks to Gabby and her team for making our holiday so good, we are now defiantly going to be doing more villa holidays from now on.
