My husband and I had an amazing dinner at the Crosswinds Grille on Sweetest Day. It is a 40 minute drive from our home in Mentor, how we missed this hidden gem is beyond us. We started with a lovely Rose that will hold its own against many French Rose's. We decided to have shared appetizers of shrimp and grits, pork cheek pierogi and house made sourdough bread with an amazing balsamic reduction, maple cinnamon butter and fresh butter. No words it was all so amazing. We opted for salads my husband had the beet salad and I opted for the chopped salad which were in a word...OUTSTANDING....we finished with the wood-fired goat cheese and fig pizza with a glass of Cabernet as we finished the Rose'. It was just so good no words can come close to describing. It was a lovely night and the owner stopped by our table to make sure we were happy and our server Alex was so knowledgable about the wi d and menu. We will be returning!
