The Das Dutch Village Inn is hands down my favorite hotel. I have been going here for over 8 years now on family getaways, weekend getaways, and anniversary trips. The hotel itself is a mix between modern and colonial dutch elements, providing a charming yet sophisticated atmosphere. There are many different room styles, and the hotel is EXTREMELY clean, and it shows that the housekeeping staff take great pride in doing so.
Let's get to the details:
There is free wifi available, and there are telephone jacks in each room. The lights are a nice touch, and there is usually room furniture available, like chests of drawers, tables, comfortable chairs and sofas. Most rooms have a built in kitchenette, with microwave, a full sink, and even dishware (but you must check your room style, some rooms offer a little more for the price that is charged!) The rooms usually come with plenty of bath towels, washcloths, and even medium sized towels, and plenty of tissues. The bathrooms are GORGEOUS. Excellent tile, nice big mirrors and vanity lights, the toilets are nice and big, and the shower/tub combos again, vary from room to room - and again - always clean! The hotel has a nice indoor heated pool and Jacuzzi hot tub, with nice foliage decorations and free bath towels provided. The pool area is almost always clean, with a rare exception of something being left behind by someone who recently used it. There is also a small computer for business use in the lobby, a nice spacious lobby on all three levels of the hotel featuring comfortable seating around a fireplace, and there is a small exercise room on the bottom floor. This hotel also hosts various little dinner theater plays from time to time. The hotel staff are all very pleasant and easy-going, and there is a nice little coffee-shop built in that is usually open until late evenings. This hotel is nearby the Das Dutch Haus restaurant - literally a 2 or 3 minute walk away - which has incredible food. It is also located behind a variety of small shops such as a gift store, a Christian book store, a jewelry store, and a nice little county kitchen shop where one can get neat baking equipment, delicious candy, and a nice little deli counter. Also, the hotel is across the street from a gas station and a McDonalds, and there is a Rite Aid right next door if you forget something. Finally, it is in a great location in Columbiana, just a few minutes from downtown Columbiana, and about 15 minutes from Canfield. There's a nice shopping center nearby as well, and plenty of various fast food restaurants and a liquor shop nearby.
Overall, this place is AWESOME. If you've never been here before, it is definitely worth checking out, and my family and I will for sure be staying here for years to come.
