We shared Li Wah's dim sum, considered by many as Cleveland's best, and some additional favorite entrees on an early Sunday evening (we took leftovers home) after a Browns game. Li Wah is one of Cleveland's more authentic Chinese restaurants, especially given its location in Cleveland's Asia Plaza. A jewelry and other gift shops, spilling out into the hallway, are located just outside the restaurant's entrance and offers the feeling of a small market. Parking is located in a lot adjacent to the restaurant. If full, another lot is on the north side of the plaza, with still a short walk to Li Wah.
We enjoyed all of the dim sum offerings except the roasted duck, which was bony. The dim sum menu is supplemented by a diverse and extensive menu that includes many vegetarian entrees, including some superb tofu offerings.
The restaurant was busy and service was a little lax as our waitress was overextended.
Asia Plaza is a short drive from downtown, just east of the I-90 Innerbelt, and is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Greater Cleveland, all things considered. It's a quite large restaurant and I've never needed reservations, but perhaps have luckily missed peak periods.
