Obviously, the main draw is the soup dumpling, which lived up to its reputation. We looked around the restaurant to see what other people were ordering. The pork cutlet was popular, so we also ordered it and a few other items that looked appetizing. The pork is delicious. Between the dumplings, the pork, and a few other offerings, LJ Shanghai will hold its own against Asiatown favorites. However, being located right next to Superior Pho, one can't help but compare its soups to the popular neighbor. They fell short of the mark. We recommend the other menu items. My only other observation is that vegetarian options were sparse, so vegetarians might want to investigate the menu before making a special trip.
