This place is a small shed, very clean and we'll run, but! it will have your attention for maybe 3 minutes, Even the kids were bored and it's not cheap...a few relics, some pics, a skull here and there and your done! The gift shop, well! .... it may be just me but if your in victor harbour stick your head in the door you can basically see what you get and make p your own mind.

Sorry to hear you were disappointed. We are a small museum with a lot of written text about the different types of whales and whaling history. If too much reading is not for you our 3D Theatrette in the basement provides some excellent information about Southern Right Whales in Patagonia, South America. There is also a Sea Shepherd exhibit which is a replica of their Steve Irwin Ship with lots of interactive press buttons. Our kids zone includes an archaeological dig where children dig for fossils in the sand pit and we also have an area with books, toys, puzzles and dress ups. We also have quiz sheets / treasure hunt sheets for older kids. We do try to cater for children and for all ages for that matter. We will continue to try and improve the centre. We appreciate your feedback.

Located right in the centre of the amusement section of Victor Harbor. There's lots of interactive educational exhibits which perhaps are aimed more at school kids, but it was worth a visit.

Could be better but still worth a visit. Buy a combo ticket with horse tram. Has some very interesting displays. Love all the old whaling boat info. The whale skeleton is great. Thank god we no longer hunt whale

Centrally located close to train station. Recommend a visit if you are on the Steam Ranger. Educational for adults and children. Lots of interactive displays and challenges for the children. Very interesting local history and especially of whaling. Important support for Sea Shepherd's work. They also have the latest info on whale sightings.
