Been there back in November 2018 with a group for a wine tasting event and out of the wineries in McLaren Vale, chose this one to go back to. Tasty wines - boutique even with some of the varieties. Note - there is a tasting charge of $5 per person for 3 of their main wines.

Hi Clive,

Thanks for visiting again. We love to see people for a revisit and introduce any new emerging varieties we have introduced to your 'Small Batch' range. Make sure you look us up again next time you are in McLaren Vale.

Cheers Nicky and the OT team

Gorgeous little cellar door with equally gorgeous wines.!
Their young fun uni student cellar door team know their stuff, so enjoyable to have staff who really know wine who can make informed suggestions about the great selections of wines on offer to tempt and saviour on the palate!
Their wine is just one of the many hidden jewels in this fantastic, under publicised little winery.
Call in to treat you senses!

Corina, Yvonne et al, you sure know how to put on the best party in town. Today's fare was superb, oysters, ocean trout in beans & saussion, porchetta with THE BEST PINE MUSHROOMS ON BAKED GNOCCHI followed by aged cheddar with Andy's sour dough bread. The matched wines we're devine, with the Grenache by far the best on the day.

Hi Patti,

Thanks for the lovely review. We sure do love to party, whether we are attending ourselves or staffing it to see you have a fabulous time. The delicious dishes prepared by Chef Steele are always amazing and he uses all local Fleurieu produce supporting all the small businesses. Thanks for letting us be part of your weekend and we will see you again soon. Cheers Nicky and the Oliver's Taranga team

Had an incredible cellar door experience here. Yvonne was delightfully charming and thoroughly knowledge about all things wine and history. The only thing as good as the service was the wine! Highly recommend stopping by Oliver's.

We visited Oliver’s Taranga on the Queens birthday weekend when the Sea & Vines festival was on. We spent much longer than we anticipated because Dan our sommelier was so informative & entertaining! He also shared great local tips on eating and other cellar doors to visit. The wines were excellent and it was nice to see some different varietals as well. They charge for tastings but it was only $10 and totally worth it as they make it a true tasting “experience”. We were seated in a seperate room in the beautiful historic building the cellar door is located in. Loved that the Oliver family history is incorporated into the tasting room and the wine labels. This was a great cellar door experience and a must do when visiting McLaren Vale.
