“Basic but clean and friendly”
Reviewed 12 April 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. They have a playground for the kids which gave my husband and I a well deserved rest. The owners are friendly and helpful. We had our own caravan and the sites were plenty big but yet private. There is a toilet complex at each end of the park but showers are only down one end which was the furthest from us hehe.

All in all cheap and basic but all you need after a long day in the flinders.

Oh and I concur... there is nowhere open after 5pm including servos. Everything here is also 2 times the price you can pay in a major town.

We stayed in a cabin at the Caravan park for 3 nights. The friendly owners could not be more helpful and accommodating. The view from our cabin looked straight out at the Flinders and the sunsets were divine. There was a table outside out cabin, which was handy and our cabin was fresh, clean, surprisingly large and very comfortable.
The bird life was also magnificent with flocks of hundreds of Galah's to entertain us each night.
We are planning to go back and stay there as soon as we can.

Room Tip: Any of the five cabins facing the hills would be great.

Stayed here with my girlfriend while we were exploring the Flinders Ranges on the way to the Northern Territory. We stayed in one of the on site cabins, which had a (fortunately) very enthusiastic heater as it was -2C outside. Small kitchenette was suitable for our purposes and tea, milk and coffee were provided. The bathroom was arcticly cold, but there's very little you'd really be able to do to make a bathroom warm when it's -2C just outside the wall.

The staff were all members of the same family and were very friendly. There's also some Sturt Peas (South Australia's very rare and ugly by interesting state flower) growing outside the office.

WARNING: there is hardly anywhere to buy food at night (actually we couldn't find a single place to eat), so make sure you self-cater!

All and all a suitable place to stay, not luxury by any means but considering we paid nearly nothing for the cabin, very reasonable! Would recommend for anyone travelling on a budget.
