We are birders and stayed two nights at this very comfortable lodge. It met all our requirements - clean, quiet and safe. It is within walking distance of the market, cafes and a river with platypus! The breakfast was excellent served on our outside patio. For birders and nature lovers it is fantastic.

After travelling through Outback QLD, checking into the Kookaburra Lodge really does feel like a little paradise. The rooms are so freshly decorated and provide everything needed. The owners are welcoming and accommodating. Eating breakfast overlooking the charming tropical garden is a delight. Well done to the owners of Kookaburra Lodge for maintaining such a little gem for so many years.

Room Tip: All rooms have a lovely aspect, especially those overlooking the garden.

We really enjoyed our one-night stay. We loved the cute little porch in front of our room which faced a beautiful garden. The room is not fancy or large, but clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great, and she brings it to your patio table. We really enjoyed our stay and would totally recommend.

Room 2 was very nice small room with two single beds and with small veranda
Small bathroom with shower which was hot with adequate pressure. Had the usual 2 towels & facecloths with 2 small soaps a small shampoo & conditioner. There is a bar fridge, microwave and kettle. Good air conditioner and a TV which we didn't use. Small table with two chairs both inside and outside for eating breakfast with a nice garden outlook. Charming little nik naks around the property. Free internet but not very good. Very convenient location to the small town at a very reasonable price. Had good food at the pub and at Nick's. Flynn's was a bit expensive for us. Definitely recommend staying here.

A hideaway only 100 metres from the village. Very attractive grounds although on small size. Rooms small but just OK for an older couple.
Very good and pleasant hosts. Recommended a visit to Yungaburra, a delightful village.
