My husband and I stayed at this property for four nights during our recent honeymoon. Marion had stoked the fire for our arrival which was very welcome after our long journey. She had also made us a beautiful Wedding card as well as gifted us a bottle of sparkling wine which were both very much appreciated and made us feel special. There was also a plate of homemade cookies waiting for us which, again, was very much appreciated.

We stayed in the cosy Muscadelle cottage which was absolutely beautiful with a comfortable bedroom, lounge room, kitchen and bathroom, all of which were large. There were also complimentary toiletries. Breakfast items were provided - cereals, milk, fresh bread, butter, jams, juice, tea and coffee.

The cottage was very peaceful and secluded, exactly what we were after. We felt like we were the only people around for miles even though the centre of Stanthorpe was only 5 kms away. There were kangaroos in the neighbouring fields as well as an assortment of birdlife.

Every afternoon Marion made sure that the fire was roaring upon our return from a day of touring. This was very much appreciated as we weren't too successful at keeping the fire going!

We absolutely loved our time here and were very sad to leave. We wished that we could have stayed longer. Marion and Eric were absolutely lovely, hospitable hosts and my husband had a wonderful time playing with their gorgeous dog Morocco.

Thank you Marion, Eric and, of course Morocco, for a wonderful honeymoon stay. We return to the UK with many happy memories of a very special, happy time. We look forward to staying again on our next visit to Australia and the Granite Belt.

Room tip: Muscadelle Cottage has lovely warm, red-tone furnishings, perfect for Winter

Soon after our arrival to the lovely Muscadelle Cottagefor our 3 night stay, you are warmly greeted by Marion with her beautiful, breakfast basket of home baked bread and home made jams ready for your stay. The fireplace is roaring and even kept well stoked, if you are out!The King sized bed and huge bathroom were both extra treats with extra touches throughout.Yummy teas and a coffee machine, both lovely to use while sitting on the verandah each afternoon, while admiring the local wildlife.Webber for cooking was also very handy.Am so glad Marion recommended the bush walk up behind the cottages at around sunset.Despite being a cloudy afternoon, the walk and views were both fantastic and so worthwhile.Marion has thought of everything to help make your stay memorable.Certainly a home away from home feel!Easy drive access to both wineries and Girraween National Park as is the town centre.Zest bakery,Fork&Cork cafe &College of Wine&Tourism are all great recommendations for lunch visits.Thank You Marion for your amazing hospitality.Stanthorpe in Winter,is the best!

Such a nice place to go and relax. Great in winter to cuddle up next to a fire and close to walking track for an afternoon walk to see the sunset. Its also close to town to go out for a nice dinner and friendly staff.

My husband and I stay here for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. We were looking for a relaxing and peaceful accommodation to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life as we really wanted to get away from it all and Maric Park did not disappoint.

As soon as we arrived we were given a warm and friendly welcome from Marion. Marion and Eric have done a wonderful job setting up these little fully equipped, self-contained cosy immaculate cottages. It's pretty much a home away from home. We stayed in the Summerdel cottage which has tasteful and modern furnishings. The wood heater is a prefect addition on those cold nights as well has the electric blankets which is definitely needed in Stanthrope and the surrounding areas. Wonderful thing about staying here is the personal touches such as the home made biscuits, bread and jams as a bonus treat as well as a complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. The expresso machine is also a great addition to the cottage. It was also lovely enjoying the view eating breakfast or sipping wine on the enclosed porch. There is also a media room for guest, we didn't have a chance to use but I'm sure it would be a lovely place to relax in while watching many of the movies on offer. The property is just 5 minutes away from the Stranthrope town centre and the property has your regular local wildlife visitors, kangaroos.

There's a lot to see and do while in the area. A little walk through the back of the property where you can enjoy the sunset from is a definite recommendation. Visiting wineries, the cheese factory, Bramble patch, Mt Stirling Olives and fudges and definitely a visit to the Girraween National Park is a must, there a lot of scenic walks vary from different levels and durations. Wildlife is everywhere in these region. When in the area if you are looking for some where to eat for lunch or dinner, a visit to The Barrel Room at Ballendean Estate is highly suggested, you will not be disappointed for dinner. There's also an nice little cafe/deli in the town centre call Brinx which is a nice place for a coffee.

All in all Maric Park will not disappoint for those looking for a romantic getaway or a place to get away from it all. A big thumbs up from us.

Room tip: Only 2 cottages to choose from, any would be prefect.

A very well appointed and beautifully presented cottage set in a tranquil setting. Great for a weekend escape. Nothing was too much trouble for Marion and Eric. Even running out with an umbrella for us after we were caught out in the rain after a bush walk.
