Not quite on or anywhere near a beach, the name of this pub is at odds with is central CBD location in Nambour. We called in on a Saturday afternoon whilst driving through, chasing a cold ale and something to eat apart from "drive through" fare.
From the outside the hotel is unassuming, but a fair attempt has been made at renovating it into this century. We walked through the older front section out the back to the oasis that is the very neat modern and functional dining area with a little garden setting if you choose to opt out of the AC. The lunch specials range from the $10.90 salt and pepper calamari to an $11.90 steak with a choice of any sauce chips/vegies/salad.
All were very very well presented and delivered efficiently by a pleasant waiter. We will not hesitate to return here and perhaps take friends next time. There are a great range of alternative options available if the specials menu isn't to your liking. Try this place, you will not be disappointed. Maybe even ask the friendly staff who came up with the odd name for such a small country town pub !More
