For us it was all about the river and swimming holes. Gin clear water with lots of little fish, turtles and an alleged platypus. It is beautiful and such a wonderful difference from a swimming pool. Our son loved it, but I’d say the place is in generally more of a couple/romantic destination.
Rooms were beautiful, as were the common parts of the resort. Very colonial and open. The restaurant overlooking the river etc. Staff were lovely, we also enjoyed the guided walk which taught us a little about the forest.
There weren’t too many negatives, but be prepared that the mosquitoes are in abundance, and seemingly very hungry.
