we had a two night stay in a cabin, the first in the line, there were others there but you cant see or hear them from where we were. It is a little difficult to locate but made it in the end, they are about a 10 minute drive from Melany. The cottage is situated on the side of a hill overlooking the dam. It had all the facilities that we needed for a relaxing weekend, including a fire place and a lot of wood and a coffee machine, which was very nice indeed. Two bedroom place with ensuite, the shower was hot and wonderful and I am told that the bath was fabulous.
Overall: A wonderful place for a relaxing weekend or a few days out of the world.

My wife and I stayed for two nights at whispering valley. The location and setting are great and the cabin was clean and comfortable but for the price it missed.
The fireplace was great and the bed very comfortable but for the price we were surprised that there was no milk in the fridge on arrival for a cup of tea.
We had ordered a breakfast hamper however it did not arrive until 4:30 which was an hour and a half after our arrival.
With the shower being over the bath a shower screen would be a nice addition to stop water from going every where.
These May seem like little things but they would take the experience from goo to great.

Intulife, Owner at Whispering Valley Cottage Retreat, responded to this reviewResponded 2 August 2015

Thank you for your review we are glad you enjoyed our cottages despite the milk factor. As a small business we try very hard to ensure breakfast baskets are in the cottages prior to the guest arrival. On this day due to unforseen circumstances we were delayed and I apologise for this. As a breakfast basket was ordered we hadn't put milk in the cottage. This has highlighted a problem that affected your stay so we will now be putting in emergency milk supplies to ensure this doesn't happen again.

We had an enjoyable stay at Whispering Valley Retreat. We were 2 couples and stayed in a 2 bathroom, 2 bedroom cabin overlooking a valley and pond. Nice to get back to nature . Saw lots of birds but not much wild life. The cabin was comfortable and cosy with a fireplace. Beds were comfy. It was very private and we saw no other guests just their cars. The Kitchen had everything you would need, even a coffee machine and supplies. We brought provisions with us and made breakfast in the Weber that was on the deck. From the cabin there was a 10 minute drive to Maleny and an easy drive a bit further into Montville. We enjoyed meeting the 2 donkeys on the property. The owner was very friendly and helpful sending emails and smses with directions. A relaxing stay overall.
