If you want a great river view from every room well this is the place to stay. It overlooks the picturesque Endeavour River. The Seaview Motel offers a wide range of accommodation from Budget, Deluxe & Superior. It's right in the main street and a short stroll to RSL Club, Bowls Club, restaurants, cafes and shops. Cooktown has many attractions to visit including a fabulous museum. Worth a look!!!

Room Tip: Superior Room overlooking the river

Fantastic views and fantastic spot. Right in the thick of it.
Great Aircon and Wifi.
We had a family of 5 and couldn't book the accommodation below so had to pay extra to upgrade. The motel took 10% off which was very good of them.
The room was amazing with great views two rooms and fully self contained.
BBQ x 2 onsite and a great pool to cool off. 2 x TV.
We will definitely stay here again next time we're up this way.

Room Tip: Pay for the best

Central location. Great waterfront views and could be improved if shrubs trimmed. Large self contained rooms with noisy aircons and wobbling noisy fans. Rooms not worth the price we paid. Requires maintenance. Spiders on room ceiling corners and shower tiles were mouldy. Lots of huge mosquitos on the front porch so couldn't leave the bedroom door open. Coils were provided outside but nothing to light it with.

Room Tip: Waterfront scenic views

The place to stay when in Cooktown.
Centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants and hotels.
Rooms are well maintained and clean and with recently refurbished bathrooms.
All rooms have verandahs to sit and enjoy a quiet beer or a glass of wine while watching the sun set down over the water and the far away hill,s of simply catch up on the harbour activities.

Room Tip: All rooms are ideally facing seaward

We recently needed a quick getaway to recharge our batteries and there is no better place than to head up the Bloomfield Track to Cooktown. It we free February on the ferry for locals and the road had just reopened after being closed for a few weeks due to a big wet. We always just head straight to the Seaview as they simply have the best location in the whole of Cooktown. We chose a Deluxe room this time as they are the newest and most comfortable. We loved our time as always and pretty much had the whole place to ourselves!

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms are the most modern.
