Free car parking for 10 minutes if you just want to nip in, which is a good idea. Staff mostly helpful and friendly. Cafe looks a bit grubby in places - noted one girl in the kitchen using her mobile phone on the counter next to food preparation area. Shop Ok although less maps for sale than last year. Toilets are a disgrace and really need enlarging and updating.

Parked at The car park and called in for sustenance before substantial walk. The four of us had lattes (delicious) and homemade cheese scones and flapjack. Again delicious and scones still warm from the oven. Great stopping point. Brilliant views My kind of coffee shop. Great coffee and home made delectables!

The place to see what are done on our National Parks, enjoy the views and the walks. A nice place to chill, enjoy the Warm Scones and jam and cream and a refreshing cup of Yorkshire Tea.

Visited with our wild flower group. Everyone we met was so friendly - in the visitor centre, shop, café - couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Fantastic selection of wild flowers very close to the two car parks, excellent range of books, local crafts, maps, gifts in the shop, tasty choice of food for snacks or a meal in the café. Walks, bike rides, den building, also indoor craft activities for children. Wonderful place. Car park charge, otherwise all free. Scooter available for disabled visitors at no charge. Come now whilst this fantastic summer weather holds.
