“Delightful cottage set in the heart of Youlgreave”

Delightful cottage set in the heart of Youlgreave. Off road parking at the rear. The ground floor has a spacious kitchen and living room. Upstairs has a good sized twin bedroom, a small single bedroom and bathroom with shower.

The cottage is very clean and tidy and appears to have been recently decorated with new carpets throughout. The heating is very efficient and there's a lovely open fire for cosy time.

Youlgreave is blessed with three excellent pubs (although at the time we visited the Bull's Head was closed. Youlgreave is ideally situated for walks along the Limestone Way; my favourite walks are to Birchover (passing Robin Hood's Stride along the way) and Lathkill Dale via Monyash.

“Ideal Cottage, Perfect Location”

April Cottage is a lovely quaint property. The property is very well equipped, and has off road parking, which is a big plus for Youlgreave. There are 3 pubs within walking distance and there is a lovely recommended bakery in the village.
We would certainly visit again.

“Derbyshire breaks”

Have been visiting April Cottage in Youlgreave now for many years.

Why do we keep coming back –

Lovely quaint cottage, in beautiful surrounding countryside - located perfectly between Matlock and Bakewell. with plenty of pubs to visit in between walks.
The cottage is a perfect retreat after a day’s walking in the surrounding countryside.

The cottage is attached to the owners own property so if you need anything they are available/and always happy to help – otherwise you are just left to enjoy your break.

WIFI- although only recently installed is very good.

Recommended places to visit/eat -

The Farmyard Inn in Youlgreave

Piedaniels Restaurant in Bakewell – suggest smart/casual dress code

We have been visiting Youlgrave for many years and have stayed in April Cottage many many times. April Cottage is a lovely place to stay and you always get a very warm welcome from Lisa and Matthew. The cottage is excellent and in a brilliant location. It is warm and comfortable and we have never been disappointed with any of our stays. Would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
