“Great hideaway cottage in a lovely quiet location”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We spent a really nice week in Apple Tree Cottage. It is a very good base to discover the southern Peak District area and the cottage had everything we needed to make our stay complete. Thoroughly recommended.

“Fabulous cottage in an excellent location”
Reviewed 25 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We had a short weekend break here to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary and couldn't have found a better place for it. The cottage is really beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Lovely split level lounge/dining/kitchen room, modern shower room and comfy bedroom with good amount of storage. We were a little unlucky with the weather so weren't able to make full use of the garden/patio areas, but these were very private with fantastic views across the hills. An ideal location for exploring the area. Whilst we don't have a dog, I can see how this would be ideal for anyone with one as the garden is walled/gated. Can highly recommend...we regularly have cottage weekends away and this was one of our favourite cottages!

“Look no further for a base in the Peak District”
Reviewed 14 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

This was our first time in the Peak District but it certainly won't be our last. We were attending a family wedding and were just blown away by the beauty of this area. Chris & Irene (the owners) could not have been more helpful or flexible - we didn't arrive until close to 11pm due to my poor navigational skills:( Hint - Get a sat nav!! The cottage was just what we wanted, clean, well presented and with all mod cons - dishwasher, washing machine, iron, wi-fi etc. Photos do not do this location or cottage justice, particularly the fact that the Farmyard Inn pub is basically at the end of the drive!!

Youlgreave itself is very handy to Bakewell (3miles away) which has all the usual suspects for supermarkets and all your essentials. Overall, highly recommended.

“pictures don't do this lovely cottage justice”
Reviewed 14 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

cant recommend this cottage highly enough, spent a long time trying to find a dog friendly cottage that was in village with access to walks and country side and apple tree fitted all that and more.the cottage has a fenced garden to keep the dog in, parking off road at the front door.lovely to sit outside with the views over the dales.inside it has been fitted out really tastefully and to a high standard with every thing you would need for a stay.across the road is the farmyard inn and can recommend the meals there.the village shop is a short walk for your basic groceries.all in all this cottage is perfect for a relaxing break and reading the guest book a lot of people agree !.
