Very friendly service, food is also very good. Child and dog friendly. I love that the child’s menu has been written and drawn by one of the kids. Advance booking is a must though.

Thank Dave A

Excellent home cooked food, great ales and warm friendly atmosphere, what's more to enjoy?
100% you will only be disappointed if you don't book in advance...

Organised a Good Friday walking group for eleven people around beautiful Lathkill Dale/Bradford Dale which was rounded off with food and drink at The Farmyard Inn in Youlgreave.
We had dropped it on them with a request for a table booking late on Thursday night and found them to be amazingly helpful in fitting in such a large party at the last minute.
From walking in to the immediate warm friendly welcome the staff where fantastic, attentative and very well organised.
The group had ordered x9 Steak and Ale Pies and x2 Battered Cod, all the food was served together and was absolutely spot on, great homemade Steak & Ale pies, thick in good quality meat content with perfect crust, served with fantastic selection of fresh vegetables - real home cooked food for hungry walkers.
Can't recommend this place high enough, it's a really cosy traditional pub with a great ambiance, log fires and good selection of beers and wine.
Received emails from everyone congratulating me on organising such a perfect day with great food, think the 'great food' was what swung it as everyone seemed to forget the four hours of wading through muddy fields and flooded paths on a typical wet Bank Holiday.
Thanks to Sue, the Chef and all the staff at the Farmyard Inn

The room was better than expected and the landlady is very friendly. I wasn't over the moon with the veggie food I ate or the lack of a couple of veggie sausages for breakfast but my other half loves the meaty options. We would definitely stay again. Lovely atmosphere.

Felt like a real local pub... but served restaurant quality food. A varied menu for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. My vegetarian friends were more than happy with their dishes... I had the beef stew... which was had a deep rich gravy... possibly the best I have ever tasted!
The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back!

Thank Grandlads
