Food was lovely and the staff were friendly and chatty. Well worth a visit after a day's walking. Probably the best pub in Hathersage

I had an excellent fish pie which was as good as the one I make at home. My husband had fish and chips which were as good as any he has ever had.

Popped in here after visiting the grave of Little John in the nearby church. The barman chatted freely about the area, the pub and our shared love of football. Later a chatted to the barmaid who was charming as well, as a lone visitor this made me feel most welcome. A very nice pub in a very nice area, had to leave to go to a football match but would love to visit again for food.

a lovely pub offering top of the range pub food. Service a bit slow but all worth waiting for. We were there on the night of flash floods but this venue is high and dry although the approach was a little wet.

As regular visitors to this pub ,have to say very disappointed today.
Normally we would choose a hot meal but today chose Roast Ham and mustard Sandwich.Big mistake. Overpriced for two slices of bread ,a few crisps and very small supposedly salad. The "Roast Ham" was tasteless and a poor alternative to what we expected . Too much mustard which also spoilt it for us.

. Next trip will stick to the hot meals. Overall a nice welcoming pub though.
