“Cosy accommodation in the town of Glossop”
Reviewed 13 April 2014 for a stay in March 2014

The Cowshed sounds like its in the country and no doubt used to be many years ago. Now its in the town but only two minute walk to the country.
It is small but we found it adequate for our needs and enjoyed our stay.
The hosts were great and the goodies left were very much appreciated.
We had a great Thai meal at the local pub only a few minutes level walk.
The walk to the shops is easy is easy harder on the way back up the hill. No problem really.

“A stunning countryside retreat...a hidden gem”
Reviewed 13 January 2014 for a stay in July 2012

We were lucky enough to stay in this gorgeous cottage on our wedding night! 'Our honeymoon haven' The pictures don't quite do it justice and the owners Wendy and Andrew could not do enough for us! The quaint cottage is tucked away in a perfect little spot where you can enjoy the natural beauty this area has to offer and yet be in walking distance of local shops and restaurants (not to mention the fantastic country pub just minutes away). The cottage is finished to a high standard, modern yet full of character. This is a perfect place to stay if your looking for a peaceful rural retreat in the country. Imagine this...walking in the countryside on a beautiful fresh day, through farms, fields, moors and quiet country lanes followed by a refreshing beer and some home cooked food in a local country pub and then a 5 minute walk back to a cosy, warm and inviting cottage with a log burning fire and relaxing surroundings to unwind in!..idyllic!

“A Peaceful Break in the Peaks”
Reviewed 27 December 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stayed in this beautiful, quaint little cottage located on the property of Flatt Farm. It is a converted stone cowshed with great character. We were greeted by the owners and made to feel very welcome. They were always happy to help with anything that we required. The cottage comprises a warm, comfy lounge with wood-burning stove and tv, a kitchen, small double bedroom and bathroom. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very clean and even has a stained glass panel which adds a warn glow to the rooms. We had our car and were able to park right outside the cottage, allowing us easy access.

The Cowshed is located just outside Glossop, minutes from the open spaces of the Peak District. It is ideally suited for hikers or people who just want to drive around the beautiful countryside. Nearby, the River Derwent and the Ladybower and Howden Reservoirs are stunning with some lovely pubs along the way.

Don't come to the Cowshed if you want night life and action! This is a place to wind down and have a peaceful holiday. Greatly recommended!
