We had a fantastic time here for an 80th birthday. 5 children, 8 adults and 1 dog and there was loads of space for us all. Particularly enjoyed the hot tub with great views. Lovely

“Ideal venue for multi generation short break”
Reviewed 25 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

Good sized property with added bonus of a hot tub. Generally poor standard of cleaning let it down and replacement of large sofas in sitting room long overdue. But good location for lots of attractions Derbyshire has to offer

“Brilliant stay”
Reviewed 3 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed here for a long weekend as a family to celebrate a "big" birthday. We had a brilliant time. There was 11 of us and we a loved it, so much so the kiddies with us cried when we had to leave. There was so much room for everyone, with everyone having space when they needed it. There were plenty of kitchenware - we even cooked a big Christmas dinner with no problem of not having enough equipment to do this. Everything was of excellent quality. The beds were very comfortable with excellent bedding on them. Everything was spotless and well kept. We had use of the hot tub and it was used frequently - even my other half who had insisted he was not going yo go in ended up in it.

The village of Belper was very nearby and made a nice walk, shame it was raining.

We would definitely stay there again if we ever go away as a family again.

The only problem we had was actually finding it. Three different sat navs took us to the wrong place - one other one only found it easily because they missed a turning,

Can I just add - nothing to do with the holiday home but we would just like to say how honest people in this village must be as one of my sons went to take out some money from the local Morrisons mini bank but by mistake left it there. He just happened to ask the next day if anyone had handed it in and they had, So honest,

Jack and his wife were very helpful as we had had a bad experience booking another place with a large company and they were both so helpful. Also leaving us a gorgeous cake and a birthday card. We would love to return one day.

“Great, spacious large group accommodation”
Reviewed 11 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We spent 3 nights at Chevin View as part of a large group of school friends with small children of various ages. There were 11 adults and 5 children. The booking process was very efficient and Jack was always very quick to get back to me with answers to queries.

The accommodation was exactly as described. It was spacious and very well equipped for such a large group. The large dining table was a real bonus. All the rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were many and well equipped.

We had a very good stay and I would recommend this house for large groups,

“Roomy, clean, modern house which suited our reunion of university friends (all over 60) perfectly.”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The house on 3 floors was large and roomy so that our group of 11, plus 2 large dogs, was not at all cramped ... and the view across to the hills was magnificent. We could all eat together in either the kitchen or the dining area of the lounge. The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook our own Christmas dinner. Four bathrooms and a cloakroom meat that there was no queuing at any time; we parked 5 cars on the drive and 2 in the road. The house was within walking distance of the centre of Belper and the area nearby. There is no Wi-F/internet access but we managed without it. The owner was most helpful and brought us a delicious sponge cake and litre of milk on arrival. It was very reasonably priced. We would certainly consider booking this house again and would recommend it to other large groups, young or old.
