“Cosy cottage, away from it all yet close to it all!”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Enjoyed a couple of days stay in Sedbergh. Cottage is as described - compact but very comfortable. Upstairs really light and airy, and really clean throughout. Bed comfy, powerful shower, kitchen facilities good & modern. TV a bit tiny (but then you're unlikely to be staying here to watch TV) and we had no mobile reception whatsoever. Really is great to be away from it all (and all the pubs/cafés have wifi) but if you need to be contactable don't stay here. You're right within the facilities of Sedbergh and with lots of nice places to eat it's a great place to stay.

“Small but perfectly formed”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Lovely little cottage perfectly placed in the centre of Sedbergh. The pictures represent the accommodation accurately and it was neat, as "shown on the tin". For two of us on a one week stay it was roomy enough, we were happy and comfortable, it was lovely and clean when we arrived. The kitchen was well enough equipped to allow my husband to enjoy cooking the wonderful fare purchased from the butchers next door. We enjoyed the facilities of the town especially the bookshops, coffee shops and the Dalesman pub. The highlight as always has to be getting up into the Howgills and enjoying their wonderful magic.
The only slight drawback, there is some noise from the road, but it's intermittent and the view of the church is really lovely.

“Superb Accommodation”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Stable Cottage is the perfect place to stay in heart of beautiful Sedbergh. Just off the “Main” road in Sedbergh I’s perfectly located to take advantage of the local shops, cafés and bars. Well-appointed with fresh decor it was just what we need for the long weekend. The lack of a washing machine has been mentioned in previous reviews but this didn’t bother us – a freezer or freezer compartment would have been most welcome in the surprisingly hot weather.
Our host Pippa was very accommodating and I would certainly recommend and definitely use again.
Many Thanks,
G+C

“Cosy, comfortable and well situated”
Reviewed 12 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Had a great week staying at Stable Cottage. The property is well placed for access to shops, cafes and pubs and is close to public transport links to Kendal and Kirkby Stephen. The house is well furnished and equipped with good central heating and plenty of space for two.
Downside is occasionally patchy mobile phone reception and no wifi.
