Visited on Sunday November 11th.I had booked ahead but at 12 noon we were the only diners.however the walkers and dogs soon filled up.we were given a lovely table by a roaring log fire and a window view if the beautiful mountains. A large rhubarb and ginger gin and a game of Scrabble certainly hit the spot while we waited for lunch.the service was swift friendly and impeccable.the roast beef.....well possibly the best I have ever had, just melted in the mouth, and my sticky toffee pudding was to die for. My brother and I come to the lakes every November, and we shall certainly return here next year. Just one word if warning.parking can be difficult as by the time we left many cars were parked on the busy main road as the car park is clearly full if walkers cars
