I have been staying at the croft hill guesthouse on pretty much a weekly basis for the last 4 years or so. I struggled to find a homely, welcoming and accomodating hotel or b'n'b in the whitehaven area for a year so beforehand until I found the guesthouse. The rooms are very nice, have all the amenities needed and are very comfortable. There is plenty of space, nice big double beds, working area and tv with plenty of channels. There is plenty of parking at the front and landscaped gardens which guests are allowed to wander round.
Everything is nice and simple at the guesthouse, andrew and joanne are brilliant hosts and genuiely nice, relaxed and funny (andrew's jokes can be hit and miss - joanne confirmed) and can be relatively flexible, such as arriving 30 mins late, etc. Breakfast is faultness, Vicky doesnt miss a trick and runs a tight operation, is fully of beans (bad pun) as well as always being up for a good crack. She cleans the place so its spotless. In my view compared to the rest of the area, the guesthouse offers great value for money and couldnt recommend it more highly.More
