This was our first visit to the Swan. We booked a table, which was ideal because it was very busy. The staff are very welcoming and the ambiance is great. We where shown straight to our table. The table was very well set. Comfy seats all round. Our drinks order was taken straight away and the drinks arrived very quickly.
The menu is great!. Very varied with lots of choice from the unusual to the normal. This suits diners who want a different experience to those who like choice but more in their comfort zone. The service was very efficient and the waitress was very helpful with any queries about the menu etc.
The food is excellent. Good servings and well presented. There is a choice of large or small servings for those with a smaller appetite. A great idea!.
All together, we had a very enjoyable evening and would return again.

Booked in here as we had plans with friends locally. A prompt check in and we headed out. The room was a little small but beds very comfortable. Bathroom nice. Breakfast was good with nice waiting on staff. The curtain pole was way too low allowing in far too much light with a grade a hangover!!

First off, lovely bar/pub downstairs with friendly staff! Checked into room to find we had been upgraded from one of the smaller double rooms to a large family room. Rooms are beautiful, comfiest beds I've experienced.
All room essentials there such as tea/coffee, hair dryer etc with a few added extras such as bath salts!
Flat screen tv mounted onto the wall with adjustable brackets to be able to move the tv to face whatever side of the room you are on. Freeview to give a multitude of channels.
Directly across the road there is a pharmacy, hair dressers and a co-op a 2 min walk away.
Included breakfast was beautiful, a mix of cooked choices and pick your own continental such as cereal & croissants and jam.

Would 100% stay here again, my only downside would be the shower pressure being poor.

We visited last Thursday for tea and toast. We had to call the staff for service although they'd seen us. It appeared their gossiping was far more important than a paying customer. When the older woman, who you'd expect to be a better server arrived, she didn't even make eye contact with my partner during the making of the order. Her skirt was stained and her shoes had seen better days. Her manner abrupt. The tea was returned as it was weak as dishwater. The tea strainer was returned as it was dirty. Staff attitudes were appalling and begrudging. The toast, when it finally arrived was stone cold. The Chesterfield sofa we sat at, the springs were broken in the middle so you sat listing in your seat. The public lavatories were dirty and the flush had to be pumped to make it flush. All this cost £8.30 for 4 slices of toast and 2 lukewarm teas. #wontbebackinahurry
