“Wonderful weekend with dogs! ”

We stayed in this cottage for a long weekend with our two dogs, and had an excellent time. Derek and Viviane were very welcoming and provided us milk and fresh eggs (from their resident rescued hens) upon arrival. The cottage is cozy and well appointed, and the grounds are nice. Our dogs loved running around their gated paddock and going on the country field walks in the area. Cheadle is close to pop to for supplies, and Trentham Gardens in Stoke, the reason for our visit, is only 15 minutes away. (A great day out, and dog friendly). I would definitely stay again if ever in the area. Thanks for the great hospitality!

“Had a great time”
Reviewed 5 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We had a lovely short break at The Corn store cottage Birchenfields, it was a well equiped and cosy cottage nice to get back to and relax in the evening after visiting the local area, enjoyed visiting Cannaock Chase, Bakewell, World of Wedgewood, Cheadle and lovely drives in the peaks seeing lambs in the fields. The local pubs and cafes very welcoming and great value meals would like to go back to see more of the area.

“Great cottage”

Just spent a week here and it was amazing
Great holiday cottage in a lovely area
The cottage was spotlessly clean and had all the home comforts needed.
How great is it to open your door and just see fields outside!!!!

The play barn was huge
My kids loved it
Didn't realise how big it was
Was great just to leave my cottage door open and let my kids run free between the barn and the cottage

Already re-booked for next year and have made sure I recommend it to everyone I know
There is so much to do in and around the area as well although driving is needed
Some great restaurants locally as well
Highly recommended

“A home away from home.”

Spent 4 nights in the Cornstore. A beautiful rural little cottage with all that you could think of, it had more utensils than we have at home. The sunroom is lovely. We were particularly impressed with the kids playroom in the shed. Tonnes of stuff in there with foosball and pool table, full size ping pong table and even a giant Connect 4. Its brilliant for kids on a rainy day. Katie and her husband were so sweet and even did some research for us to find a lovely scenic drive through the Peak District.

thank you for your lovely comments, and the tomatoes in the sun room/summer house are coming on well. The play barn has had a bit of a make over complete with hay bales for a rustic feel. best wishes

We stayed here for just one night after a trip to Alton Towers, which is just a few miles away. Even though we were there so briefly, we were made to feel very welcome. It was perfectly comfortable for our family of four. It was clean and warm and had tea/ coffee and milk for the next morning. What I particularly good about this place is the games room if you have kids. With the British weather, our kids would have happily spent hours in there, and if the weather is nice, there is a lovely outside area with amazing views of the countryside
