We frequent the dog and duck fairly often and it’s always fabulous! Food, drinks and especially the staff. The staff are always friendly, game for a laugh if the mood suits and the service is second to none. Food wise everything is always delicious, fillet steak, pork belly, scallops, venison! Puddings are amazing! We love it! Can highly recommend, but make sure you book because it’s always busy.

Thank Augusta S

Daughter just moved to Linton so helping with decorating and moving. No cooking facilities so nipping out for food and a few jars from time to time.

Brilliant pub, serves excellent fresh food all day with good range of beers and wines.

The garden is very pretty with tables along the river bank.

Staff are polite friendly and knowledgeable.

Also dog friendly (well has to with this name).

Nothing not to like. Suspect will be back quite often.

My partner and I brought my French mother in law here a few Saturday's back for dinner. All of our dishes were fantastic. I don't normally like kidneys but to the risk and ordered the Deviled kidneys to start as a "test". I loved them. Kidneys are easy to get wrong but they were cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauce was delicious. My partner ordered the moules which she said were some of the best she's had, especially in the UK ( She's French ) Our deserts took a little while to come out but they were fully booked and the staff apologised so it didn't bother us what so ever.

We were so impressed with the evening that we asked to book for Boxing day lunch. We have also just booked to come here for my birthday in November.

The D & D was recommended by a few friends so decided to pay a visit. Tripadvisor page said under 'cuisines' that there are gluten free and vegan options, so as we require these (i will have the veggie option if nothing else available), thought it would be perfect. When i booked i mentioned the gluten free diet and was told that there were always options and this would be sorted on the night. My husband ordered pate to start as this was the only thing he could eat if they had gluten free toast. They had no g/f bread, but were able to provide some crackers after a search in the kitchen. Bit strange - surely it would have been better to tell the kitchen in advance. The same thing happened with choosing a main. Waitresses seemed very unsure if there was anything on offer. Veggie option was Mac and cheese. Not very adventurous. Nothing vegan on the menu and nothing that could be adapted. We didn't have desserts, but again, nothing g/f seemed to be on the menu.
The food that we did have however was very tasty.
We found the staff to be rather bumptious. Not unpleasant, but not very convivial. The waitresses seemed more interested in flirting with the chap behind the bar. They weren't keeping an eye on tables in the dining room at all.
I will be returning in December for a Christmas meal with workmates so look forward to seeing how that goes!
