This was the perfect place for us. Quiet and away from all the tourists. But easy to drive everywhere we wanted to go. The casitas are large and comfortable. Very clean. Good bathrooms. The pool was meticulously cared for. The grounds lovely. The breakfasts delicious. Everyday was fresh fruit. Yogurt and granola. Choice of eggs. Bacon. Ham. Juice. Coffee. One day we had hot cakes. The family there was very attentive and got breakfast for us early the day we left. The 5 year old son is adorable. They are adding a small convenience store soon. It is about a mile down a rutted road. We arrived in the dark and I was glad I had taken a photo of the Google Map since their sign is hard to see in the dark. Turn at sign for Villas Tortugas and keep up the road past Organic Yoga. Very reasonable price. We stayed 6 nights Free wi fi.

Stephanie and Sergio make staying at Eco Maya great. Love the rusticity of no ac, no tv; but wifi. The pool is nice. Staying here without a car is a challenge. There's nowhere to eat at night anywhere close.

My husband and I visited the Mayan Coast area recently, this was our 3rd stop. Very pleasant surprise. Only stayed 2 nights, wish we had more. Our cabin was very nice, comfortable bed, screened porch. I wish there were 2 hammocks instead of the big swing on porch, that really isn't very useful to relax on or for both of us to chill and read our books. Pool was very nice, clean. The grounds were nicely kept. Could be a little more eco friendly. Get rid of the small bathroom toiletries and have water pitcher in room with fresh water instead of the plastic water bottles. Need place to recycle. Breakfasts were ok, the same both days but maybe changes if we stayed longer. John seemed a little young to be managing the place but was very nice. Would come back again. Akumal was not that far to get to, it has become very crowded by the beach so was nice to be away from the busy area.

We spent one night here.
Pros: friendly attitude, chill out by the pool, every room has a separete cottage with a bathroom
Cons: long bumpy road to the hotel (could be tricky after rain), no air condition in the room

Room Tip: do not forget repellent

We stayed for two weeks in the B&b. Verry nice and helpful staff. It was all we could have hoped for. Verry clean and well maintained bungalow's. We went into the Yucatan jungle did not found any gold but found a treasure of a b&b instead.
