    worth the trip

    only negative is not enough directional signs once off the highway.
    that being said, room without river view and facing street was quiet and very comfortable. fortunately we took dining package when registering. Friday evenings meal was exceptional in both offerings and service. food was very good,,from soup to nuts.
    our second meal was Sunday brunch for a large family celebration. meal included quebec specialties like pea soup and meat

    Full four star marina

    Having this been my first trip up the river I was not sure what to expect. The staff at Handfield are very friendly. Showers and restrooms are beautiful and clean. The food is very good. We all had the flank steak for dinner....wonderful. Breakfast buffet was also super, complete with omelet bar. Crepe's were dripping in Quebec maple syrup. Nice little swimming pool very close to the bar and food service. An outdoor shower very close to the pool and hot-tub so no excuse for not rinsing off before you get in. Great water pressure too. No gas, no pump out, but thats no problem as many marinas offer this along the river. Overall it was a great two days at Auberge Handfield. We will return.

    Room tip: If sleeping on your boat, don't worry if you are placed on the outer docks. The river traffic is very quiet at sunset. Slept like a baby.

    Wonderful food and service

    The room was cozy and looked over the river and marina. The meals at the restaurant were superb, and they have a great assortment of dishes from which to choose. Service was excellent and the biking in the area was lots of fun.

    Great Venue for a Sales Meeting

    Very private and secluded setting away from the big city. Great for team building, sales meetings, and also weddings. Accommodations, food and staff are all great. Location, on the river, with a marina, SPA, old country style buildings shows its heritage. Hope to return here soon.

    Wonderful Venue for our Sales Meetings

    This was the first time to stay at this hotel. Our sales meetings was in a big "wedding tent" in the back. Very private and the service was amazing. I hope we come back next year. My room was on the top floor facing the water. The view was spectacular.

    Room tip: The rooms facing the water are the best rooms.
