We stayed at the Tay Inn during a motorcycle trip in June. We had a very enjoyable stay at the motel. Everything was perfect. Our rooms were very clean and modern. We could not ask for a more pleasant overnight stay. The owners are very accommodating and we enjoyed chatting with them while we relaxed outside after dinner.
This is a first choice to stay in Perth.

The mattress, pillows and bedding was great and the sleep experience was everything I wanted. The bathroom, shower, and washstand area was impeccable. The internet was rather slow if wanted watch video clips/movies on my computer. 5 stars
Looked at the solid reviews and made a reservation. We were not disappointed. As advertised, the room was clean and comfortable, and budget friendly. Nothing fancy but that was not our priority.
The road out front is busy and could be a little noisy at times, and expect a train horn once in a while; these are but minor inconveniences to an otherwise very enjoyable stay.
Perth has a fantastic heritage downtown and is well worth visiting. The Tay Inn helped keep us on budget for our one night stay exploring the area, and the innkeepers were friendly and helpful. What more is needed?
Oh my goodness, if you have a physical disability or any limitation physically, id think twice about staying here , their definition of accessible is so wrong it’s not even funny , I use a power chair , and was told I could get around in the room , ha what a joke , I couldn’t even go into the office to pay , the staff were rude , our accessible room had two grab bars in the bathroom , and a slightly lower shower , no bench , no non slip mat , I had to leave my chair in our van because I couldn’t even get through the room door , that’s pathetic, guess their version of accessibility is at a pretty low standard .
This is a great motel/inn. Super clean and comfortable with everything you need. The owners are on site and very accommodating. Professionally run with pride. Would definitely recommend and would return. A fresh change of pace from the usual $250+ chain hotels.
