An older establishment well situated on the fringe of the town. It is clean and well maintained by a family that has your comfort at heart. We had a kitchenette and it lacked for nothing. Were supposed to stay 4 nights but wound up staying 9. Close to the winemakers etc.

Room Tip: Ask to see different rooms.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Adams Golden Acres motel. I chuckle at the sign outside which touts kitchenettes, air conditioning, and colour television. That will give you some idea of the era of which this motel is reminiscent. The rooms are not glamorous. They have brown cinder block walls and horizontal slider windows. It is perhaps not the place I would choose for a romantic honeymoon. But as a base from which to spend your days doing other things in the area, it fits the bill. The rooms are large and kept very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and it is quiet, especially at night when there is less traffic. Wifi is free and reliable and TVs have basic cable. Bathroom and shower are perfectly adequate and hosts are friendly and accommodating. Coffee and tea are not provided in the rooms but are available from the office during opening hours. We will be happy to stay here again when we visit family in the area.

Room Tip: The rooms in the middle block are farthest from the road and overlook (from the back windows) a large agricultural (soy bean?) field.

This was our 2nd time staying here and it did not disappoint. With the full kitchen it made life convent.
It is pet friendly too. Lots of grass for the dog to run. Not far from town groceries or beverages close to beaches too . Will stay here again for sure. It is very Clean !!

We were in the area to hunt for a new home. We decided to stay at the Adams Golden Acres Motel, strictly because of price and location. It is very much a throw-back to a simpler time, in terms of style and better yet, service. The greeting is honest and friendly at the office. Efficient check-in (yes they take credit cards....check their site to see which ones). The room we had (11) was very clean and tidy. Okay, the furniture has seen the 70's come and go, but they are in good repair (except for the saggy couch which wasn't that comfy, but had a nice clean cover on to dress it up a bit). The bathroom was cleaner than some of the big 'fancy schmancy' hotels/B&Bs in which we've stayed. No stray hairs in the sink or tub....lots of towels. The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals. Although we didn't make food, it was nice to have a full size fridge to keep fruit, wine and simple ready made items . We enjoyed grabbing a couple of glasses and sitting outside at one of the many picnic tables with a glass of wine and watch the day turn to night....lots of fireflies too! The proximity to anything in the area in terms of wineries, restaurants and beaches is a great draw to newcomers to the area. There is a small play area for the wee ones, well back from the road, for safety. We saw a few kids playing and they seemed to be having a good time. If you want a more involved playground, drive 5 minutes into Kingsville and check out Lakeside Park. We are definitely staying there again; we'll be checking out more houses in our hunt for our new life in the area. We are looking forward to bringing our grill and having a meal at our motel and drinking some more of the fine vintages that the area have to offer (Try the CREW sauvignon blanc, Sprucewood rose, or the Alexandre Baco Noir).

Room Tip: get a room with the separate kitchen/living room.....
