We sort of fell in love with Bloomfield... although we were staying in Milford, we returned a few times to Bloomfield, went from shop to shop, got a picnic lunch from the Agrarian, and were fortunate to discover the Cranston Gallery. Although it's on Main Street, it's just a few steps from the hustle and bustle, and you almost hesitate to enter because it is set back off the road, at the end of someone's driveway... you almost feel like you're trespassing. But we encourage you to walk in...
We were glad we did. We were welcomed by a lovely, gentle pooch named Grady, who then introduced us to Sharon who shares the gallery space with her husband Guy. She's one of those really genuine, down-to-earth people and a very accomplished artist. As you wander around the gallery, which is also a working studio, you can see how she has captured the beauty and ruggedness of Prince Edward County.
If you appreciate art and like the opportunity to actually meet the artist, this gallery/studio is perfect for just that.
