We stayed at "Kahuna" for 6 nights and it was a lovely home base while we explored the Minas Basin area! The view was gorgeous during the day and the stars were beautiful at night with no light pollution. We were comfortable and appreciated time on the deck, in the living room, cooking meals, and being able to do laundry part way through our trip. The location allowed us to beach walk at Partridge Island and Parrsboro Harbor, tour Joggins Cliffs UNESCO site, go to the Fundy Geological Museum, visit the FORCE research Center and meet Jacquie and Doug Wilson, owners of Amethyst Boutique. We also enjoyed great food at "Black Rock Bistro" in Parrsboro and "Wild Caraway" in Advocate Harbor. Sabine and Christian were helpful and communicative and accommodated an early key return so we could get to our airport connection. Staying at their Kahuna Chalet made a wonderful visit to Nova Scotia even more special. Thank you to both of them!

The owners of the Parrsboro Mansion also have two vacation rentals about 8 KM outside of town. Both units are located by each other and we rented the two bedroom Kahuna. They are located on an unpaved road that doesn't have much traffic at all. This is really "away from it all" with a perfect view of the Bay of Fundy. Be sure and bring you own DVDs as there is no internet or TV reception. The Kahuna is fairly new and very nicely appointed (one of the best we have rented). Sabine and her husband were very helpful; supplying a large lobster pot to cook outside on the fire ring. Hand washing, dishwashing and laundry soap, paper towels, etc. all the little things you don't normally see were provided. This is a really nice rental! Be sure to attend one evening at the Ship's Company Theatre. Larry & Kelly, Georgetown, TX
