My wife and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience. The cottage has wonderful views of the bay from the deck. Jerry and Karen were a wealth of information about the area. We had a wonderful time visiting with them, and going out with Jerry on his fishing boat. A trip to Canso is a must do if you stay here. Just the epitome of a Nova Scotia fishing town! Walking on the beach collecting "sea glass" was a peaceful way to enjoy the natural beauty of this little cove.
A beautiful quaint cottage with a breath taking view from dusk till dawn. A setting that will capture your soul. The owners Karen and Jerry will capture your heart. Great memories were made for us as a new couple. We were expecting just a nice place to stay during a visit to the general area but found ourselves wanting to stay for ever. Already planning a return visit.
Many thanks to you both for giving us the opportunity to share a little piece of your paradise.
If you are considering a visit to this beautiful hideaway, You will NOT be disappointed!
Be ready to share in the welcoming from two amazing people who stole our hearts and had us leaving a piece of ourselves with them.
Karen and Jerry were awesome...amazing...and fun. The cottage was clean and adorable. The view....priceless and the overall experience UNFORGETTABLE!
If you get a chance to go on the Darcy Dean with Jerry....it is worth the cost. Sooooo SPECTACULAR!
We toured Nova Scotia and PEI and it was wonderful but it was only here that we got a feel for what it would be like to live next to the ocean in a small town way. I was worried that being away from the city, grocery stores and restaurants would be boring for my family. How wrong I was. We watched the sunset over the water, went kayaking, searched for blue mussels on the rocks at low tide and cooked them along with hot dogs on a fire on the beach. Jerry was kind enough to tell us how to find the mussels and provide a grill to use. We also had the opportunity to buy some fresh greens from Karen's greenhouse. The lighthouse museum nearby is wonderful as is the ice cream from the gas station a short distance away.
