My husband and me spent vacation in this comfort appartments from from May 29 to the 12th of June.10 days total. When the Soviet Union my husband worked in Bulgaria and visited Golden Sands on weekends. That time all the Sands consisted of a few hotels and there were very few people. So to feel the old atmosphere of peace and tranquility we decided not to book a room in the hotel ( there is always noise and hustle and bustle), but to book an apartment in the complex Iglika -1. What primarily attracted us to this apartment? If you have ever visited Golden Sands you must know that the entire resort is on a slope. In the "flat" surface there is only the beach, promenade and first line of hotels. Therefore, there is always noise, overday music and bustle. Music until 2-4 am. 99% of other hotels are at the top. Walk to the beach probably looks not bad in the morning, but when returning back for lunch or rest, in the heat, even 200 meters will seem like miles.
Iglika -1 is located just behind the first line. 100 meters from the beach area. It is about 10 meters rise. Second floor on the Elevator and You're at home. Now you can watch through the window and empathise to tourists going uphill from the beach (there is a small train which carries to the top, but it costs money). The windows overlook courtyard and picturesque meadow. It is always quiet. No city noise. Hour security outside. We were without a car, but there is always the possibility to park in the yard or in the underground parking. As we have learned parking fee is cheap. Compared to the 30 meters hotel room we got 110 meters of fully-furnished appartment for the same price. With all necessary appliances, including washing machine, microwave, air conditioning, etc. Rooms are tastefully furnished and comfortable. Two bedrooms, but we used only one. There was even a crib (cradle) and high chair for kids, but our children have grown up. The apartment has a large 40 meters hall, combined with kitchen with two small fridges , microwave, etc. You can cook yourself, but we had only breakfast at home, dined in numerous restaurants in walking distance. But homemade food saves the budget considerably. In the evening we had a rest on the large balcony. Beer, talks… Yes, of course there was wi-fy Internet, cable TV – about 90 programms and few in Russian. First channel, NTV, and there is something else, but we saw TV rather rare. All included in the price. Always hot water, Boiler. We had a very comfort and cozy vacation here. Well, the hostess is a young lady, Russian, always in touch. Seems she lives somewhere nearby, as after our call to her (there was a small problem with the Internet) she came in about 5 minutes. Now about the cost. It is not cheap. But compared to the price of the first line of hotels (and as we learned,Bulgarians value Iglika as the first line) there is practically no difference. At the beginning of June ( not the season) we paid 90 Euro per night. = the same cost for the room in Melia or Admiral hotels. In the season, as I said, the prices are higher. There are certainly cheaper places and hotels in Golden Sands , but we chose the Center, walking distance to the beach, the «bottom» location and the large appartment. We looked for cozy and comfort flat. And we had a success. There were only two of us, but in general this apartment would perfectly fit a family with children of any age, since in addition to the two bedrooms there are two sofas (one folds out). So 5-6 people can perfectly stay in here. If you have no problems with finances , I highly recommend really BEST FAMILY APPARTMENTS. You will not regret. Cherries, strawberries and other fruits are in abundance. The photographs were made in the first day. They appeared be almost the same as in the booking website.
