“Stunning unique gem of a Yorkshire cottage which I loved staying in”
Reviewed 21 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

I got a really lovely welcome at heaps house. The owner Rebekah is lovely. Lovely little details such as fresh milk in the fridge and bread etc helps you settle in to outstanding and luxurious comfort. It is steeped in history while being light, airy and clean. I had such a peaceful stay, and slept like a princess in the wonderful comfy large bed. A great and unique place to stay and look forward to staying there again in the future

“Easter break ”
Reviewed 2 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Stayed over the Easter bank holiday at Heaps house. The home is just as it looks on the pictures very clean and comfy with nice touches like breakfast cereal and a small bottle of milk provided. We slept really well in the big comfy bed and the shower room was fantastic.

We enjoyed a good walk right from the door step and also visited the local Indian restaurant which was really good.

The only negative for us was that the wall connecting to the next door property is thin and so we could hear the family living/staying next door talking and also hear a lot of bumps and bangs as they moved about.

On the last day there was snow and the neighbour across the road came out with a snow shovel to help us clear the snow so we could get out more safely. We didn’t have much contact with the hosts which suits us fine but maybe would have been nice just to check we got off ok and had a good stay.

Would recommend for the price if a bit of noise doesn’t bother you.

“Lovely cottage”
Reviewed 29 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

this is our third visit to the cottage. It is our favourite place to get away for a short break. The village is lovely. There are nice walks.
The cottage is lovely and the bed a delight to sleep in.

“one night stay and could have moved in..”
Reviewed 5 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

upon arrival was greeted by Rebekah who was very friendly and showed us in and even moved her car for us to park both of ours on the driveway.. the exterior is very pretty and modern yet full of character.. the interior is brand new with crisp colours and a tint of industrial styling which really sets it off.. the bathroom is amazing.. and the lighting great.. super clean and comfortable with everything in the house that you could possibly need for a stay.. would totally recommend. 5☆.

“Delightful, topsy-turvy cottage”
Reviewed 19 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Lovely, warm, comfortable cottage which has been been beautifully renovated to a high standard. Well positioned in a quiet residential road with its own private parking. Local shops are within a few minutes walk including a very good bookshop. The friendly, helpful owners live nearby. A big bonus is the willingness of the owners to take bookings for periods from one night. As the building is on a slope living rooms are on the upper floor and the bedroom and amazing bathroom are downstairs. We loved it and plan to return there when next in the area.
