“An overwhelming experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

Everyone should make an effort to see this national treasure. It is lovingly preserved, well researched and highly educational. We loved the quotes from the men who actually sailed on the battleship. They ran the gamut from amusing to heart-wrenching. We came to a fuller appreciation of what our father did in World War II. When you enter the bomb bay be prepared for a truly humbling experience. Thank you North Carolina for preserving this treasure. We thought we'd make a brief stop on our way to Myrtle Beach. Three hours later we still weren't ready to leave!

“Wow it's bigger than I thought.”

Had no idea how large the Battleship was till you travel a few decks down and feel like you are lost in a maze of metal. It was very hot in the summer so best early day or late afternoon. very interesting.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

If you're a history buff or just like boats - BIG boats, this is a must see if visiting Wilmington, NC. It is nicely restored and loads of history walking around this thunderous battleship. Those involved in this attraction have done a very nice job keeping it up and informative to visitors. Thank you!
