“Must see history in Wilmington”
Reviewed 1 March 2012

Great afternoon spent on the Battleship North Carolina. Awesome trip back into history. You will get a good appreciation of what the sailors experienced. The self guided walking tour is extensive with access to all parts of the ship. Allow yourself a couple hours to see it all. We went in the off season and it was not crowded at all. I can imagine it might be a little tense if the ship was full of youngsters as there are many tight quarters. You must be some what agile to get into all of the areas and navigate the stairs and ladders. Might also be a challenge with small children. Well worth the visit.

“Worth seeing”
Reviewed 25 February 2012

You get to explore the battleship via self guided tour. If you are interested in naval history or WWII it is worth seeing. The ship is well cared for and the information presented was interesting - especially the sailor's personal accounts.
